Every year students from all walks of life and different degrees of tech-savvy matriculate to Penn State. Our goal is to raise awareness and nudge students towards Penn State IT resources by partnering with Student Affairs and New Student Orientation (NSO).

We script and design a 20-minute “Get Connected” presentation as part of the two-day orientation tour. For University Park, we even hire and train the student presenters. In addition, each new student receives a Connect to Tech guide that directs them to the Connect to Tech website for more information. At the end of NSO, 90% of polled students agreed they were now aware of technology services and help. We continue to handout collateral at events like the Libray Open House, Altoona Tech Fair, and Graduate Student Orientation.
